Silent Night Choral Collection SSAA

This is a collection of 11 Christmas carols of various origins – Gregorian chant, folksongs from Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Basque country and the Alps as well as a modern interpretation of Dona nobis pacem – all new and unconventionally arranged for women’s choir by Winnie Brückner. From classical sounds in a homophonic setting to jazzy-groovy in 5/4 meter, sometimes playfully exultant above a sonorous bourdon bass, sometimes reveling agogically in medieval sounds, from simple and easy to handle to very complex – these arrangements are an asset to any women’s choir Christmas season repertoire!
