Martin Völlinger

Born in Fulda (Germany), studied church music, singing, conducting and improvisation in Regensburg as well as in Zurich and attended numerous international music courses. He was a prize winner at the 1st Bayreuth-Regensburg Choral Direction Competition and was a finalist at the International Organ Improvisation Competition at Schlägl Monastery in Austria. He has been working as the choral director and voice teacher with the Lucerne Boys' Choir where he has celebrated astounding success as the director of the men's ensemble of the Boys' Choir (the youngest men's choir in Switzerland). His increasingly freelance compositional activities are reflected in numerous commissioned works and awards.
