Katharina Roth

Following an inspiring encounter with Tilo Medek (2003) and her studies of sacred music, Katharina Roth turned her full attention to composition (Dieter Mack) and piano (Jacques Ammon) at the University of Music in Lübeck. Her time abroad in Reims, together with international master classes, complemented and enriched her compositional training. She was awarded second prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Hochschulwettbewerb in 2013, and the Karlsruher Kompositionspreis in 2014. Also in 2014, Katharina Roth was granted an Aribert Reimann Scholarship. At present she is living in Vienna, where she continues to compose music, while pursuing her studies of music therapy.
