Eva  Ugalde Álvarez

Born in San Sebastián (Spain), studies in piano, composition, choral conducting and pedagogy at the Centro superior de música del País Vasco. Encouraged by the conductor and composer Javier Busto, she began writing music for women's voices. Now her repertoire covers all types of groups. Ugalde's music is usually programmed as compulsory pieces at several festivals and contests and performed in different countries all over the world. She usually participates in workshops and conferences in Spain and is in demand for conducting her own music and as a juror at various settings. She is often required at international gatherings as a guest conductor or juror at choral and composition competitions.
