Sebastian Schwab

Born in Munich. Studies of composition under Prof. Jan Müller-Wieland and violin under Olga Bloch-Voitova. His oeuvre includes works for solo instruments, for voice and piano, for chamber ensembles as well as works for orchestra and choir. His music was performed as part of the Young Soloist Concerts of the Siemens Music Foundation and at the International aDevantgarde Festival (Munich). For his piano lieder cycle based on melodies by the Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, commissioned by Schott/Wergo, Schwab received the Leonhard and Ida Wolf Memorial Award of the city of Munich. In concert he performs as a violinist, pianist, violist, organist and conductor.
